We are confident that 2022 will bring opportunities to meet face to face once again! What a wonderful celebration it will be to come together for our second Qi sensory and consumer statistics focused 1-day mini conference. Fingers crossed we will bring you confirmation of dates and venue soon!
Our first Colloquium was in Windsor in May 2019 which proved to be a popular setting especially as the coffee break involved watching the changing of the guard right on the hotel doorstep!
Looking back at the highlights….A thank you and goodbye to Hal MacFie…
We also had the pleasure of using the occasion to say a big thank you to Dr Hal MacFie for his contribution to sensory and consumer statistics over the years, this being his last talk on the subject. Anne Hasted presented him with a bottle of champagne and a card signed by all the colloquium delegates and speakers.
The talks…
A series of talks were given covering a variety of topics, including cluster trimming, pref mapping for product portfolios, how to do sensory science the ‘right’ way, Maxdiff analysis using the new app, Bayesian methods for sensory data, a new method for analysing CATA data and an update from Logic8 on EyeQuestion and EyeOpenR.
And who won the quiz?
As well as time to chat during the breaks, a fab lunch and 1-1 statistics clinics and software demos, we even had time for a quiz on statistical acronyms – which proved very popular – the prize being won by our colleagues from Firmenich!
